Important hotels was interested in Puerto Madero. Hilton was the first established (Macacha Güemes 509), in March 2000, it was its first location in Buenos Aires city.

Sofitel with the Hotel Madero was the second, located in Boulevard Rosario Vera Peñaloza 360. It was opened in October of 2004.

At same time was the construction of the Faena Hotel + Universe, designed by Philippe Starck with a old fashioned and modern style together.

Universidad Católica Argentina

This prestigious University occupies the four historical buildings in western side of Dam 2.
Social Sciences, Economy, Psychology and Social Communication are some of his careers, among others.
Santo Tomás Moro (A. M. de Justo 1400), and San Alberto Magno (A. M. de Justo 1500), its first two buildings were constructed between 1994 and 1996.

Its third building was finished on December of 1998 (A. M. de Justo 1300) and contain the Rectory and Library.

Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires

Building of the Technological Institute (ITBA) is previous to the remodelling of Puerto Madero.
The Institute was created in 1959 with the objective to teach different engineering disciplines, but just in 1969 it transferred his set to the present building in Eduardo Madero Avenue 399.
Engineering careers like Industry, Electronic and Chemical are toughed in this Institute.

Guardacostas Building

This Building is actually the head quarter of Prefectura Naval Argentina.
Constructed during 1945/ 49, previous to the transformation of Puerto Madero.
Previously it was the head quarter of "Secretaría de Marina" and during 1971/ 75 was occupied by the Education Ministry. Since 1979 is totally occupied by the Prefectura Naval Argentina and named Guardcoast Building.
