Walk Areas

Piers

The road layout includes 15 streets, 4 boulevards, 2 avenues y 2 pedestrian promenades. These promenades were built on what it used to be the old train street between the warehouses and the Docks, where the stuffing-unstuffy of the vessels used to take place.
The installations have kept the port style that is the main feature of the area. This can be noticed in the recovered materials and equipment, such as the stone paving, the logs wood and the typical cranes. The handrails, street lamps and benches also keep the same style

Women Bridge

This bridge is due to an initiative of businessman Alberto González, who decided the construction of a pedestrian bridge that crosses Dock 3, allowing the people to easily access to the East Sector of Puerto Madero.
Once completed, the work would be donated to the Government of Buenos Aires City. The design was made by famous Catalonian Eng. Santiago Calatrava.
It has three sections, two fixed parts, 25 and 33 m long, and another moving, 102 m long. This central part is based on a pile that has an engine for its rotation. The structure was entirely made in Spain and transported in parts for their assembly and local installation.
The inauguration for its public use took place in December 2001.
