Docks recycling

These buildings, located on the western side of the dams, constitute the main cultural historical patrimony and marks the port identity in the zone. Its original construction took place between 1900 and 1905. This reasons were taking care of by then the Honorable Consejo Deliberante de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, declaring this sector "Area de Protección Patrimonial Antiguo Puerto Madero".

They are sixteen buildings that run bordering the dams, four by each dam, covering approximately total of 320.000 m2. One of them was reconstructed to new, because it was totally destroyed by a fire. These buildings were first bided by Corporación Antiguo Puerto Madero S.A., for their construction, this process lasted from 1991 to 1998 beginnings.

The uses are mainly for offices, and to a lesser extent for houses. Four of included them in dam 2 are destined to educative establishment of the Argentine Catholic University.
In ample sectors they went installing an important amount of restaurants, that they gave rise to the formation of a new gastronomically running, who added itself to the centric area of Buenos Aires.
